How to show different loyalty/progression programs to different user segments

If you need to show different program experiences to different user segments, this is not done by creating multiple Loyalty Programs with segment conditions on each one.

In this case, the correct setup is to use progression programs together with dynamic blocks in Hub Builder so that different segments see different program blocks.

What to know first

  • Progression programs are effectively the program type used for this setup.
  • They use items from your store, not system items.
  • If you are trying to create another program that uses system loyalty items, you may not see that option in the place where progression programs are configured.

Recommended setup

  1. Create the required progression programs.
  2. Configure each program with the appropriate store items and reward structure.
  3. In Hub Builder, add dynamic blocks for the program content.
  4. Set segment-based display rules on those dynamic blocks so each user segment sees the correct program.

Why the earlier approach is not enough

Program-level conditions by themselves do not provide the intended setup for showing different program variants to different player segments in the hub. Instead, segmentation for this use case should be handled at the dynamic block level in Hub Builder.

Best practice

Define segment rules clearly and make sure each dynamic block points to the correct program content for that audience.
