Game Hub Builder: Sandbox vs production, publishing behavior, and image asset quality
When working on a Game Hub, it is important to know which environment players can see and how image assets are handled.
What players can see
- Players only see what is live in production.
- Sandbox is a staging environment for preview and internal review.
- Changes made in sandbox do not appear for players until they are manually transferred to production.
How changes move from sandbox to production
Sandbox updates stay separate from the live hub until they are published or transferred to production.
- You can transfer changes yourself if you have access.
- Our team can also transfer them for you.
If you are checking a sandbox URL, that preview alone does not mean the same version is already live for users.
How image assets behave after rollbacks or design changes
Design rollbacks do not necessarily replace or regenerate your uploaded store assets. If the original uploaded assets remain the same, production will continue showing those same source images.
If image quality looks worse than expected, the recommended next step is to re-upload the original image files to production.
- You can re-upload the original files yourself in the dashboard.
- If needed, support can help with the re-upload process on our side.
When to re-upload assets
Consider re-uploading if:
- store item backgrounds look blurry,
- card backgrounds appear lower resolution than expected, or
- product or item images do not match the quality of your original source files.
