How language-based localization works for Game Hub video links
Game Hub video links can be configured so that players see different links based on language, not only by country.
What changed
If you need separate links for different language audiences (for example, different YouTube channels for Korean and English users), video display logic can be set to follow the player's selected language rather than their detected country.
Behavior
- Sandbox testing: you can save changes in Game Hub Builder and preview them in the Hub.
- Production behavior: users are normally detected automatically, but video localization can now follow the chosen language instead of country-based routing.
When to use this
Use language-based localization when your content differs by language but should not be restricted by geographic region.
Example use case
If you operate separate Korean and English YouTube channels, you can assign the Korean video link to the Korean-language version of the hub and the English video link to the English-language version.
Note
If localized media is not displaying as expected during testing, confirm that you are previewing the correct localized version of the Hub.
