How to transfer items and settings from sandbox to production

Last updated: July 10, 2026

You can request to have items, bundles, stores, campaigns, and other settings transferred from your sandbox environment to production. This is useful for testing configurations in sandbox before deploying them live.

What can be transferred

The following can be transferred from sandbox to production:

  • Items and bundles (including images, pricing, and properties)

  • Stores and store configurations

  • Live-ops campaigns

  • Localization and translations

  • Price templates and regional pricing

  • Rolling offers and progression programs

How to request a transfer

To transfer content from sandbox to production:

  1. Set up and test your items, bundles, or campaigns in the sandbox environment

  2. Contact your vendor support team with the specific items you want transferred

  3. Provide the item IDs, bundle names, or campaign URLs you want moved

  4. Specify when you need the transfer completed (e.g., "today", "before launch tomorrow")

Important considerations

Price templates

Price templates may not transfer correctly if they differ between sandbox and production environments. You may need to manually reassign price templates after the transfer is complete.

Localization

If your sandbox has fewer configured languages than production, some translations for new items may be missing after transfer. You'll need to add these manually.

Regional pricing

Custom regional pricing may not transfer automatically for manually copied items. The vendor team will need to update regional prices according to your pricing spreadsheet after the transfer.

Campaign states

Live-ops campaigns are typically transferred in a disabled state, allowing you to enable them when ready for launch.

Self-service transfer tools

Automated transfer tools are currently in development. These tools will allow you to copy items, stores, localization, and price templates between environments without vendor assistance. Contact your vendor team for updates on availability.

Tip: Always test your transferred content in production before going live to ensure everything transferred correctly, especially pricing and localization.
