How the Featured tag works for bundles and what happens during sandbox-to-production transfer

Last updated: July 1, 2026

The Featured tag shown on bundles is controlled by the bundle's Featured Type setting.

Where to find the setting

In the dashboard, open the bundle and go to Settings → Display Settings. Use Featured Type to choose whether the bundle is shown as Default or Featured.

Does the setting carry over from sandbox to production?

Yes. If you move bundles from sandbox to production using the standard sandbox-to-production transfer tool, the Featured Type setting carries over automatically.

That means a sandbox bundle set to Featured will keep the Featured tag after transfer to production, with no extra manual step required.

When the tag does not carry over

The main exception is when bundles are manually recreated in production instead of transferred. Newly created bundles default to Default, so you must change Featured Type manually if you want the Featured tag to appear.

How to enable it manually

If a transferred or newly created bundle does not show the tag as expected, open the bundle and go to Settings → Display Settings → Featured Type, then set it to Featured.
