Bulk uploading Game Hub translations with a spreadsheet

If you need to localize your Game Hub in multiple languages, you do not have to update every string one by one in the Localisation tab. Aghanim support can bulk-upload translations for you from a spreadsheet.

How it works

  1. Prepare your default-language text in the dashboard first.
  2. Fill in the translation spreadsheet with your source text and translated text.
  3. Send the completed sheet to Aghanim support.
  4. Support will upload the translations on your behalf.

What the Localisation tab covers

The Localisation tab is intended to cover user-facing strings shown on the Game Hub. If you use banners or other images that contain baked-in text, those images need their own localized versions uploaded as assets so they can switch with the selected language.

Understanding translation template columns

  • key: the identifier used to match the text to an existing string in the system. In some workflows, this can be the default-language text itself.
  • object_type: the type of object the string belongs to, such as an item or another Game Hub asset.
  • object_property: the field being translated, such as name or description.

The object_property values correspond to Aghanim API field names. A practical way to find the correct values is to export the relevant assets from the dashboard, for example from SKU Management → Items.

Alternative spreadsheet format

You can also use a sheet where the key column contains the text in your default language and the other columns contain translations for additional languages. For this to work, the default-language text must already exist in the system.

Important limitation

If a string or key does not yet exist in the dashboard, support cannot upload its translation until that key has been added first. Once the new key exists in the system, the translation can be uploaded.

Best practice for player-facing wording

When referring to the web experience in player-facing text, use Game Hub consistently rather than Shop or Web Shop.
