How domain-based access works for sandbox hubs

Team members can access an unpublished sandbox hub in two supported ways:

  1. Domain-based access via the project's configured Viewer Domains.

  2. Direct dashboard access by being added to the project as a Viewer (or another dashboard role).

Expected behavior

If a user's email domain matches one of the domains configured in Viewer Domains, they should be able to sign in and open the sandbox hub directly, without being added to the dashboard manually.

If access is not working

If a tester is unexpectedly unable to open the sandbox hub, a temporary workaround is to add them to the dashboard as a Viewer. This also grants access to the sandbox hub.

Troubleshooting notes

  • Make sure the user is opening the actual hub URL, not a dashboard URL.

  • If the user lands on dashboard-specific pages such as Add your game, they may be in the wrong flow.

  • If the user is redirected to a 404 page when opening the hub, confirm that their email domain is listed correctly in Viewer Domains and try the Viewer-role workaround.

Current status

Domain-based access for sandbox hubs is supported. Testers whose email domain is listed in Viewer Domains should be able to log in directly without needing to be added as Viewers manually.
