Why the discounted price in Store admin can differ from the storefront or checkout price
Last updated: July 10, 2026
If your product shows one discounted price in the Store admin and a slightly different price on the storefront or in checkout, this is usually caused by the setting that adjusts discounted prices to a more marketing-friendly value.
What happens
The discount amount can still be calculated correctly from the original price.
After that, the final customer-facing price may be adjusted to a marketing-friendly number.
Because of this, the price shown in the admin after discount may differ slightly from the price shown on the storefront and in checkout.
Which price the player pays
The player pays the final price shown on the storefront and in the checkout flow.
Example
If the original price is $40.99 and a 15% discount is applied, the calculated discounted price may be $34.84 in admin, while the storefront and checkout may show $34.79 because of marketing price adjustment. In that case, the player is charged $34.79.
How to change this behavior
If you do not want discounted prices adjusted this way, disable the setting that converts prices after discount to marketing-friendly values. If needed, support can also help turn this setting off.
